How to Attract Better Clients

Don’t you wish you had a practice full of wonderfully juicy clients? You know the kind of the clients who get you? The kind of clients who VALUE your services? The kind of clients who are willing to shell out the big bucks for your high-end programs?

We all love it when those ideal clients find their way to our door, but that’s not always the case. You may find yourself attracting clients that just don’t ring your bell. Maybe the services they are looking for are not your favorite ones to offer. Or they are the kind of clients that complain about your prices. Or maybe they are just fine clients, but there’s something about their energy that leaves you feeling a little drained after each session.

Do you recognize any of those scenarios? Do they happen more often than you’d care to admit? Working with so-so clients can make you feel pretty frustrated. What’s wrong with them? Why don’t they see if they just got on board, they’d start to see the results you know you can deliver? Well, here’s a news flash…It’s not them, its YOU.

Every day we are all sending out vibes to the world around us. Everything you do conveys a message to those you encounter, including and especially potential clients. Until you align your actions with your desired outcome, you will continue to draw people and experiences to you that leave you feeling flat. But it doesn’t have to be that way!

You can attract ideal clients, but first you have to embody the change you want to create. The universe mirrors back to us what we give out. Ever notice when you complain a lot, you start to attract other people who also complain? Well, the reverse works as well. When you choose a sunny disposition, suddenly more people smile at you and treat you with kindness. It works the same way in attracting ideal clients. As Gandhi said, “Be the change you want to see in the world.” Or as Heather says, “Be the change you want to see in your clients.”

Here’s some tips to help get you there:

1. Play a bigger game. In order to attract exciting clients, you need to be more exciting. You must have a BIG vision for your own business and a fire in your belly. If you are just moseying down the entrepreneurial highway, guess who your fellow road warriors will be? Can you say station wagon? They sure ain’t gonna be the ones zipping by in a hot BMW. You gotta step it up!

2. Raise your prices. If you want to attract a Bloomingdales spender, don’t offer them Target prices. (Click to Tweet) Believe it or not, some people actually prefer higher priced products and services. It increase the perceived value of what they are getting and increases their level of commitment to your programs. In return, they get better results and YOU get more credibility. Raising your prices also reflects your belief in your own value. If you are hesitant to raise your prices, you need to ask yourself why. If you don’t believe in your value yourself, why should anyone else?

3. Better Yourself. Hey, if you want better clients, offer better stuff. The more you learn and grow, the more you have to offer and the easier it becomes to attract higher end clients. Also, the clearer and more deeply you understand yourself, your goals, your vision, your likes and dislikes, the easier it becomes for you to articulate who you ideal client is in the first place. It’s not just the one with the biggest paycheck. It’s the client who resonates with your message, truly needs what you have to offer and is happy to pay for it.

Ideally your perfect clients should be reflections of your best self. If you believe in and communicate the value you bring, your audience will resonate with your marketing messages. If you continually grow and evolve, your audience will be drawn to your insight and wisdom. And if you are passionately in the game, your perfect clients will want to come and play with you. Now that sounds like fun!
