I Challenge You To Do 100!

This is a picture of me after my morning workout. I’m tired, but happy and very grateful. A couple of  months ago I wrenched my back and was unable to exercise for several weeks and even then it was slow going. Today was the first day since early September I was able to do my normal full workout and it felt really good. I was so grateful to be able to move my body again.

It’s funny how much we take for granted in life, especially things that can sometimes take effort. However, the moment those things are taken away, you realize how important they are and it gives you a whole new appreciation of their value. When you value something, you are more motivated to pay attention to and care for it and that in turn makes it flourish. If you care for your body, your health flourishes and if you care for your business, it will flourish too.

Cultivating a sense of gratitude is essential for creating a business which you and your clients value. In the spirit of giving thanks, I’d like to invite you to a gratitude challenge. Try to make a list of 100 things for which you are truly grateful in your business. The first few will be easy, but don’t get discouraged if you struggle to get to 100. Sticking with it will help you see areas you might not normally think about or that you take for granted and to which you need to start paying more attention.

After you make your list and see what areas which might need more care, go back and identify those things for which you are the most grateful. And then, start giving thanks! If it’s a client, show your gratitude in a unique way. If it is your beautiful office space, put some fresh flowers in there to show the love. When you show your appreciation, you deepen your connections and encourage more behaviors and things for which you can be grateful.

As you give thanks, you gift yourself as well with a wonderful feeling that only comes from showing true gratitude. If you give thanks to your business, your business will also gift you back with a bountiful harvest!

I would love to know how you make out with your list! Please let me know what insights come up for you.
